Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) are routinely tested and examined several samples of infant formula products on the market.
In 2009, BPOM re-do the research by taking samples of infant formula products from the market as many as 11 samples. In 2010, another sample taken at 99 formula. Whereas in 2011, to February has been tested on 18 samples.
The following brands of infant formula that has been tested against the parameters of E. sakazakii by BPOM. The majority of the researched is milk for babies 0-1 years. But that does not mean the milk is not listed in this list are not safe for consumption.
Those who are at risk of bacterial infection of E. sakazakii include babies with low immune systems such as neonatal infants (age 7-28 days) and infants born prematurely.
